votes cast have been counseled. it take a while because the votes in santa clara are counted here not at precincts. a spokesman believes they are the only county to do it that way. and that spokesman is joining us. why does santa clara have a slower time on election night? >> we are able to provide unique resources over 72% vote by mail so obviously it takes longer to tabulate the ballots. we have to check the signatures on the ballots and we use tremendous technology that will check the signatures, scan the ballot, for them to the the precinct level and our volunteers open the ballots and we take them back out to habitate. it obviously takes longer to tabulate vote by mail ballot than ballots voted in precincts we have 100% of precincts reporting. we have provisional ballots

murder and statemented murder. the third is charged as an accessory. one student died. the other is recovering >> the san francisco fire department is trying to figure out how a woman bypassed an antitheft system to steal this city ambulance. she took the ambulance from paramedics responding to a call in the tenderloin. the woman led police on a wild case through the city and crashed the ambulance on a yerba buena island off-ramp of the bay bridge. it burst and names. the woman was not hurt. she is in jail. >> this morning we have learned a federal san francisco sheriff deputy suspected in a jail fight scandal was at center of even allegations of excessive force. the records reveal the former deputy on left here may have needed additional oversight by the sheriff. most of the 11 allegations did not pull up but he was fired last year after he was accused helping stage fights between inmates at the county jail.
